What is Bikram Yoga ?

Bikram Yoga's twenty-six postures sequence, systematically move fresh oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber restoring all systems to healthy working order, just as nature intended. Proper weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well being will automatically follow.

Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class is a twenty-six asana series designed to scientifically warm and stretch muscles, ligaments and tendons, in the order in which they should be stretched. Below is the list of 26 hatha yoga postures and their benefits.

 

The postures are done in the safe environment of a heated room so that deep penetration can relieve muscle resistance without risking injury. Each posture in the copyrighted sequence of postures is done in specific order, preparing the body for the next posture, resulting in powerful healing and miraculous results.

Le yoga bikram, aussi appelé « hot yoga », est une série de 26 poses dynamiques (asanas) et de deux exercices de respiration (pranayamas), destinée aux personnes de tous les âges et de toutes conditions physiques.

 

Cet exercice physique est un défi. Il se réalise dans une pièce chauffée à 40° pendant 90 minutes. Grâce à cette chaleur, le yoga bikram facilite un étirement plus profond du corps, une élimination des toxines plus rapide et efficace, réduisant ainsi le risque de blessures musculaires. Chaque posture étire et renforce des muscles, tendons, ligaments et articulations spécifiques, préparant ainsi le corps pour la posture suivante.

 

Le yoga bikram stimule également le corps dans sa globalité (les systèmes immunitaire, nerveux, digestif, cardiovasculaire, respiratoire, hormonal etc.)

 

Une pratique régulière du yoga bikram permet de maintenir le corps en excellente forme. Il améliore la posture et l’alignement de la colonne vertébrale. Il contribue à soulager les douleurs de dos, tonifie les muscles et affine la silhouette. Il favorise la vigueur, la souplesse, la résistance et la concentration.

 

La pratique du yoga bikram réduit le stress et les tensions en offrant un exercice complet qui apporte un bien-être physique et mental.
